5 Lessons Trading Futures Taught Me About Happiness

1) If what you’re doing is working, keep doing it

Regardless of what other people think or tell you. If it works for you, milk it.

2) Cut your losses

If something isn’t working, accept it and move on as quickly as possible. You’ll save time, money and headaches. But most importantly, you’ll be available for the next great opportunity

3) What you do everyday becomes who you are.

For three years straight I sat with my face three feet from a computer monitor, and now I need glasses because my long distance vision has gone away from lack of use. Some other examples of this are: If you work out everyday, you’ll be in great shape. If you often make negative comments about other people, you’ll think negatively. If you make an effort to be nice to everyone you meet, you’ll become a very nice person.

4) Be honest with yourself.

It’s much better to be honest with yourself up front than to let the world show you the truth later. It may be difficult to accept the truth, but if you lie to yourself, the world has a way of exposing it.

5) You can only push so far.

Sometimes you have to let yourself be pulled. If you seek balance, then always pushing isn’t beneficial.
