I love Halloween. It’s giving Thanksgiving a run for it’s money as my favorite holiday. There are two main reasons. 1) I can wear a jump suit. 2) I love seeing everyone act completely different for an entire day.
It’s so much fun to slip into a different personality when everyone is so accepting of it. This transformation is obviously temporary, but I see a good lesson. What if every day, you woke up with a vision of the person (character) you wanted to be. Just like on Halloween you could do a pretty good job of acting like that person. It wouldn’t be perfect. But then again, if you did this every day, you would eventually get a lot better at it. And before you know it, you’ve become the person you really wanted to be.

Are you trying to tell me to crimp my hair more often?

What a great reframe Jason! Halloween certainly supports people to take risks without much to lose and thus helps a good costume wearer bypass resistance to change. We should all dress up more often.
